Mike loved to live life to the fullest. He filled his life with his many friends, his passions for cooking and his love of animals. Mike never knew a stranger – he was one of the most outgoing, generous people you would ever come across. Going hand-in-hand with his love of people was his passion for cooking and hosting. He enjoyed spending time creating amazing one-of-a-kind dishes and inviting over friends, family, and neighbors for a wonderful evening filled with food and fun. Once Mike was introduced to the BBQ competition circuit, he started a BBQ competition team, and so began a love smoking meat and Bar-Be-Quing, always aiming high for a grand prize at competitions. While never quite attaining the Grand Champion title, he did place top 10 several times, turning his “BBQ” into “Award Winning BBQ”, something he was so proud of.

Mike was known as the “Animal Whisperer” in the neighborhood and could train cats and dogs alike, to obey commands. His love of animals is evident, as he left behind 6 “fur kids” whom he loved and devoted to spending time with them as much as he could. He had a side kick in his dog Daisy Mae and was often seen with her riding around town with him in his truck visiting various locations.

The world lost a heart of gold that would do anything for anybody out of the true kindness of his heart. Mike was loved and will be missed by so many
