Obituary for Darrel D Kuntz
Darrel Dean Kuntz, 77, of Abilene passed away January 1, 2020 in Abilene, Kansas with his family by his side.
Darrel was born on July 24, 1942 in Abilene, Ks to Earl and Glenna (Sexton) Kuntz. He lived in Abilene all his life attending local grade schools and graduating from Abilene High School with the class of 1960. On December 4, 1965 he was united in marriage to Charlotte Hosie in Enterprise, Ks.
Darrel was employed by C.E. Ehrsam and Deel’s as a machinist and retired after 27 years from Dickinson County Highway Department, and from the Kansas Department of Transportation in 2001.
Darrel loved the outdoors and many family vacations were in Colorado. Darrel enjoyed keeping up with his grandchildren’s activities, wood carving camping, antique tractor pulling, riding his Harley and riding four wheelers and dune buggies.
Darrel is survived by his wife Charlotte of the home; one daughter Sandy (Tim) Jaderborg, Chapman; one son Darren (Jennifer) Kuntz, Salina; four grandchildren Ashley and Cole Jaderborg, Chapman and Brayden and Gage Kuntz, Salina; and one brother Dennis (Diana) Kuntz, Abilene. Darrel was preceded in death by his parents.
